Hurricane Irene

Calm before the storm. Mom had to get one more sweep in.

Anyone know what this is?? It was like a banana slug... HUGE!
About four inches long, and half an inch thick.

GOing over the first bridge towards the pond.
None of these picture accurately transfer the wrath of all the water.

Second bridge, by the pond.

Walk down to the road from pond.

Early evening.

Rainbow in upper left...

Monday, around noon.
Five houses were lost in Jamaica.
Dropped in the river in area behind the store on that little dirt road.

The debris under the bridge is probably what knocked the bridge out.

Houses that fell in were down to the right.
Bulldozers were working to try and reduce the flow of water.

Beside the green house, (above and below), there was a red barn that ended up in the river. There's no trace of it!
